Admissions
Jinja School of Nursing and Midwifery admmits students three times a year, that is March – Upgrading Students (Extension), June/July – Diploma Direct Entry and in September – Certificate Programs
Reporting dates
Students that have been admitted into various school programs report in the following months;
- May – Those upgrading (Extensors)
- November – Those coming in as Direct Students
Training Activities
Students are involved in three types of activities ie classes, skills labs and clinical attachments.Classes and skills labs take place mainly within the school but clinical attachments are carried out across several hospitals, health centers, and medical organizations. This is so that our students get the greatest possible exposure and practice in their field of specialty.

We also have Community attachments as well as domiciliary services.
Graduations
At the end of a course, successful students graduate ONLY IF they;
Have passed the hospital final organized by Jinja School of Nursing And Midwifery (JSNM)
Have passed the state final exams organized by Uganda Nurses and Midwifery Examination Board (UNMEB)
Have registered for graduation.
